Why will my bank card be charged?

Charges to your card will be processed two days prior to your appointment.

Your bank card will be charged in the following scenarios:

  1. You've already attended your two Medicare bulk billed sessions with your psychologist.
  2. You don't attend your appointment.
  3. You want to cancel your appointment but don't give us at least 48 hours notice.
  4. You're not covered by Medicare.

1. You've already attended your two Medicare bulk billed sessions

We'll bulk bill your first two sessions. After that, a $40 out-of-pocket contribution is required. Your saved card will be charged two days before your appointment, based on your psychologist's registration (clinical or general). Either way, the total out-of-pocket cost is only $40.

2. You don't attend your appointment.

This is pretty simple. If you book an appointment with one of our psychologists and then don't turn up for your appointment, you'll be charged a $40 no-show fee.

We'll send you a confirmation email and SMS for each appointment you make, as well as a reminder email 3 days before and a reminder SMS 48 hours before - so you should know it's coming up!

3. You want to cancel but don't give us at least 48 hours notice.

You're free to cancel or change your appointment time anytime up until 48 hours before it is scheduled to start.

By cancelling last minute it makes it nearly impossible for us to fill your spot, so your psychologist ends up sitting at home alone unable to help anyone and unable to get paid for their time. To compensate them for this unfortunate situation, you'll be charged $40 so your psychologist can at least earn something.

4. You're not covered by Medicare.

If you don't have Medicare or haven't got a GP referral, you'll be required to pay the entire appointment cost as indicated in the table above.
