Why will my bank card be charged?

Charges to your card will be processed two days prior to your appointment.

Your bank card will be charged in the following scenarios:

  1. You've selected a Medicare rebate or self fund session.
  2. You don't attend your appointment.
  3. You want to cancel your appointment, but don't give us at least 24 hours notice.
  4. You're not covered by Medicare.

1. You've selected a Medicare rebate or self fund session

2. You don't attend your appointment.

Our no-show policy is straightforward: if you miss a scheduled appointment with one of our psychologists without cancelling, you'll incur a $100 fee.

To help you remember your appointments, we've implemented a comprehensive reminder system. You'll receive a confirmation email and SMS when you book, followed by a reminder email three days before your appointment and a final SMS reminder 48 hours in advance. This multi-step process ensures you have ample opportunity to reschedule if needed.

3. You want to cancel but don't give us at least 24 hours notice.

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment without charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance incur a $100 fee. This policy exists because last-minute cancellations make it difficult to fill the vacant slot, resulting in lost opportunities for both your psychologist and other patients who might need that time. The fee helps compensate your psychologist for their reserved time and maintains the sustainability of our service. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy.

4. You're not covered by Medicare.

If you aren't eligible for Medicare or haven't got a GP referral, you'll be required to self fund the appointment as indicated in the fee table above.
