1. Help Center
  2. Payments and Medicare Bulk Billing

When will my bank card be charged?

Hopefully never! We fully bulk-bill to Medicare so shouldn't have to use it.

Your bank card will only be charged in the following scenarios:

  1. You don't attend your appointment.
  2. You want to cancel your appointment but don't give us at least 24 hours notice.
  3. You're not covered by Medicare.

1. You don't attend your appointment.

This is pretty simple. If you book an appointment with one of our psychologists and then don't turn up for your appointment, you'll be charged a $25 no-show fee.

We'll send you a confirmation email and SMS for each appointment you make, as well as a reminder email 3 days before and a reminder SMS 48 hours before - so you should know it's coming up!

2. You want to cancel but don't give us at least 24 hours notice.

You're free to cancel or change your appointment time anytime up until 24 hours before it is scheduled to start.

By cancelling last minute it makes it nearly impossible for us to fill your spot, so your psychologist ends up sitting at home alone unable to help anyone and unable to get paid for their time. To compensate them for this unfortunate situation, you'll be charged $25 so your psychologist can at least earn something.

3. You're not covered by Medicare.

We fully bulk-bill to Medicare, so you can attend 20 sessions every calendar year fully paid for by Medicare.

Once you've used up all 20 sessions in a year, you'll have to pay by card instead.

If you don't have Medicare or haven't got a GP referral to make you eligible for Medicare funded sessions, you'll also need to pay by card.
