Do I need a Medicare card?

Medicare can help you fund up to ten psychology sessions per calendar year.

You can book an appointment without providing your Medicare information on the intake form. However, your session will be considered self-funded and you will be asked to pay the cost of a psychology session to confirm your appointment.

If you choose to have Medicare bulk bill appointment, you will need to supply your Medicare information on the intake form. A GP referral is also required to book an appointment, while a Mental Health Treatment Plan can be uploaded at a later date before your scheduled session. You will still need to provide your credit card details as per the cancellation policy, but you will not be charged upfront.
